Swim With The Whale Sharks in Puerto Princesa

Discover the whale sharks, that are called "Butanding" in Filipino! This peaceful and gentle giant is cruising between the months of April to October in the distant part of Honda Bay area and can be seen around one week before or after each full moons. With our activity, we bring you there to experience this encounter with the gentle-giants "Butanding"!

This activity doesn't include feeding or touching animals. Our crews follow the WWF guidelines in order to allow a respectful and sustainable observation of this beautiful creature. Join our Swim With The Whale Sharks Tour in Puerto Princesa for a unique experience while you're visiting Palawan!

Program and Itinerary

This tour package has an approximate duration of 7 hours and 30 minutes. You will find the main events and activities programmed for this tour listed below.

6:30 AM Our air-conditioned van will pick you at your accommodation within Puerto Princesa City (in a 10-kilometer radius). The van will drop you to the starting point of the tour, where our guides will welcome you.). Our guide will assist you in registering your details for the boat manifest.

7:00 AM The boat will leave from 7 to 7:15 am. Once the guests are onboard, a Philippine Coast Guard representative will check to ensure that safety guidelines are followed. The boat is ready to depart upon his approval.

7:15 AM While the boat start cruising to the distant part of Honda Bay where the whale sharks are, your tour guide will give you instructions and guidelines in interacting with the whale sharks.

9:00 AM After around 2 hours of sailing, you will arrive in the Honda Bay and the boat will sail where the whale sharks have been spotted on that day.

9:20 AM When we approach a whale shark, your guide will instruct you when to jump in the water. For the next couple of hours, you'll be swimming with the whale sharks!

12:00 AM We will serve your lunch directly on the boat. It includes meat, rice, vegetable, and fruits. Good appetite!

2:00 AM We'll sail back from the Honda Bay to Puerto Princesa Bay Walk, where the van will be waiting for you.

2:30 AM The driver will drop you off at your hotel in Puerto Princesa (within a 10 kilometers radius) after your Swim With The Whale Sharks adventures!
