1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tikigo at www.tikigo.net (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on Tikigo. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Minors may use the Platform only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
3. The Platform
Tikigo is a marketplace that connects travelers with independent tour organizers. Tikigo facilitates the discovery, comparison, and booking of tours and experiences, but Tikigo is not the provider of the tours themselves. The contract for each tour is between you and the tour organizer.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Bookings & Payments
- Prices are displayed in the currency shown and may include taxes and fees as indicated on each listing.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Tikigo never stores your credit card details.
- Some tours may require a deposit at the time of booking, with the remainder due before the tour date, as specified on the listing.
- A booking is confirmed only after successful payment processing and confirmation from the tour organizer.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund policies are set by each individual tour organizer and are displayed on the tour listing page. Please review them carefully before booking. General guidelines:
- Free cancellation — Many tours offer free cancellation up to 24–72 hours before the scheduled date. Check the specific listing.
- Partial refunds — Cancellations within the non-refundable window may be eligible for partial refunds at the organizer's discretion.
- No-shows — No refund is provided for no-shows unless the organizer's policy states otherwise.
- Weather/force majeure — If a tour is cancelled by the organizer due to weather or safety concerns, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
- Processing — Refunds are processed through Stripe and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

7. User Content
By submitting reviews, photos, or other content to the Platform, you grant Tikigo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform. You retain ownership of your content.
- Reviews must be honest and based on your genuine experience.
- You must not post content that is defamatory, misleading, or infringes on third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Prohibited Conduct
- Using the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Scraping, data mining, or automated access without our written consent
- Attempting to circumvent any security measures
- Posting spam, fake reviews, or manipulative content
- Interfering with the Platform's operation
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Tikigo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Tikigo is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or any other aspect of the tours offered by organizers. Any disputes regarding a tour should be resolved directly with the organizer.
- Tikigo's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Tikigo in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Tikigo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tikigo, its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
11. Intellectual Property
The Tikigo name, logo, and all Platform content (excluding user-generated content) are the property of Tikigo and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use our branding without prior written consent.
12. Dispute Resolution
- We encourage you to contact us first at hello@tikigo.net to resolve any dispute informally.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines.
- Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines.
- If you are an EU consumer, you retain your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting us at hello@tikigo.net. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (liability, indemnification, IP) will remain in effect.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
