Private Underground River Tour To El Nido

Our private Underground River Tour will bring you to one of the 7 New Wonders of Nature. In your private air-conditioned van, you will travel from Puerto Princesa City to Sabang, about two hours from the city proper. From there, you can reach the protected national park where you will discover the Underground River.

After the tour, your private van will bring you to El Nido, 250 kms up north and around 5 hours away from Sabang, and drop you off at your hotel in Corong-Corong or El Nido town. Additional drop-off options in El Nido area (like Lio, El Nido Cove, Sibaltan, Nacpan and Duli Beach) are also available for an extra charge.

With this tour, you can avail the Extended Tour Option. This is an awesome way to discover this wonder of nature as it will take you where very few tour operators bring their guests… Instead of the short 1.5 km tour, you will go up to 4.3 km inside the subterranean river. After the turning point of the public tours, you will most likely pass very few other boats. This is truly a unique experience to appreciate the famous Underground River

Program and Itinerary

This tour package has an approximate duration of 12 hours. You will find the main events and activities programmed for this tour listed below. You will be able to choose a departure time (from 6:00AM to 10:00AM) but we suggest to start the tour with your hotel pick-up at 9:00AM.

Your tour guide will meet you at your place of choice within Puerto Princesa City proper.

Around 1 hour and 20 minutes on the way to the Underground River, we’ll stop at Buenavista View Deck to see the breathtaking scenery of the Ulugan Bay (and give you time to use the restroom if needed).

While your tour guide is processing the permits and boat to go to the National Park, you’ll be able to roam around Sabang Beach and watch the locals cultural performances. The waiting time will depend on the affluence on that day.

A 25 minutes boat travel will bring you from Sabang Wharf to the Subterranean River National Park. You’ll land on the beautiful Saint Paul Beach.

Within the National Park, you’ll witness a lot of wildlife: monkeys, monitor lizard (bayawak) and squirrels. While waiting for your turn to enter the river on the municipality managed boats, please be advised to keep plastics bags or packages hidden and to pay close attention to your belongings: the monkeys might get interested in them and take them from you.
